WHY TRIBAL RETREATS ARE DIFFERENT
Most yoga retreats focus on rest or adventure. Ours are designed for transformation — balancing both.
You’ll experience:
• Expert-led daily yoga, breathwork, and meditation
• Meaningful workshops on self-leadership and energetic alignment
• Free time to explore, rest, and integrate
• Cultural immersion through food, nature, and local experiences
• Deep community connection with a small, supportive group
Each experience is intentionally curated by Elissa Albert, founder of Tribal Yoga School and internationally recognized yoga teacher and trainer.
Her approach bridges ancient energy practices with modern movement science — empowering you to embody your authentic self and lead with confidence. Each retreat is curated to reset your nervous system and have you return home renewed.

PAST RETREATS
Our favorite moments from our past Tribal Yoga School retreats

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING
“I almost didn’t book because I didn’t know anyone. By the first day, that fear was gone. Everyone was so welcoming. I came home healthier, more confident, and with friends I still talk to and hang out with.”
— Kayla P., Wisconsin
“Investing in this retreat was the best decision I’ve made for myself in years — and that’s why I go to Tulum every year now. The combination of yoga, the ocean, the food, Elissa’s energy, and the group is exactly what I need to reset and recharge.”
— Sam, Atlanta
“India changed me in ways I didn’t expect. It wasn’t just about yoga — it was about remembering who I am and why I am here. Every day was meaningful, and I left with a deeper sense of peace and purpose. Thank you, Elissa.”
— Leo, Atlanta
Our students describe their experiences as “transformational”, “healing”, and “the best week of my life”. Come see why our tribe keeps growing — and why so many return year after year.
OUR RETREAT PHILOSOPHY
Travel is one of the most powerful tools for awakening. Each destination we choose — from Greece to India to Tulum — carries its own frequency of transformation. Through daily practice, meaningful conversation, and immersion in nature, we awaken ancient wisdom within ourselves.
You don’t have to escape your life — you just have to remember your truth.
FAQ’S
We believe life-changing experiences should be accessible to everyone. You can secure your spot in one of two ways:
• Pay in Full: Instantly reserve your spot with one payment.
• Payment Plan: Hold your space with a $400 deposit, then make $500 monthly payments until your balance is paid in full.
For upgraded room tiers, Elissa will customize your payment plan to match your selection. Please note that all payments must be completed prior to the retreat start date.
All levels welcome! A yoga retreat IMO is a powerful way to introduce, deepen and accelerate your yoga practice. You will get more one-on-one attention then in a group yoga class. As for advanced practitioners, get ready to deepen your practice and challenge yourself with consistency and variety. From journaling meditations to sunrise walks, from slow-flow classes to Yoga Nidra (sleep-based meditation), from breathwork to ice baths there will be a type of yoga that resonates with you. This is what makes Tribal so different from other styles and studios. We offer 10 different styles of yoga, you are sure to love one. WARNING: you will fall in love with the practice and reap the benefits in just days.
Community. Safety. Vulnerability. Authenticity. Ancient Wisdom. And Love.
Participate in it all or nothing! This retreat is for you. One of the biggest things you will learn from Tribal Yoga is to listen to YOUR body. Honor your decisions and ability to say yes AND no. This your vacation. Everyone travels differently and everyone will need something a little different in this experience. You may need to sleep in or read a book. You may need to challenge yourself to wake up and see the sunrise every day and get consistent with your health routine. Every session and activity are completely optional. Yoga is about self-care and self-love and we encourage you to make this all about YOU and what you want.
We highly suggest all attendees obtain travel insurance.
This is for your own protection physically & financially. If you were to have a serious injury or medical issue while traveling the insurance will cover those costs for you including transportation back to the US. Depending on the plan you choose, it also may protect you in the case of expenses due to flight delays, lost luggage and more. Please forward your insurance to us once you have obtained it. We keep it on file should you have a medical emergency. We typically recommend Allianz or World Nomads, or you’re welcome to use another provider of your choosing. Tribal is not affiliated with any insurance company and we do not hold any responsibility for your policy agreement with one.

• World Nomads (https://travelinsurancemaster.com/a?6891b8ab-8f27-4ab6-a35a-30de220e3315): Ideal for general travel and adventure travelers
We gotchu! For retreats that include food, we can accommodate all dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, etc.) and food allergies. Just be sure to let us know ahead of time so we can keep our resorts in the loop.
Anything out of the included list, you will have to pay for like spa services, alcohol and dinner out. They take card but for a fee. The best thing to do is bring down USD cash! The resort takes American cash and/or pesos. As well, we recommend you bring your Debit Card. It’s smart to have two cards, one credit card and one debit card — but you will want to bring a card that gives you access to cash. In Tulum, cash is king, and many places don’t even take cards, like taxis (there’s no Uber in Tulum), street tacos stands, mercado (market) vendors and more. You can get cash from local ATMs around Tulum for even cheaper rate than the airport.
Kale yes! We are happy to coordinate you rooming together (up to three friends sharing a room). Message us with who you’d like to room with.
Airfare is not included in your ticket price, so that you can use/earn your own airline miles if you have them & because many people choose to either come early to play or stay afterwards.
If for whatever reason you must cancel, we are unable to offer refunds on your deposit under any circumstances.
The deposit kept is to cover the cancellation fee required by the resort.
